Thunderbird & Bear Totem Pole BearThis Totem Pole was created by Coast Salish artist Richard Krentz. The Totem Pole was carved for an event in Whistler, as part of the bid by Vancouver and Whistler to host the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. The pole measures approximately 11 1 2 feet or 3 1 2 meters long, up to 21 inches or 53 centimeters wide, and 20 inches or 51 centimeters deep. The design represents the joining of both the Squamish First Nation and the Lil'wat First Nation.
