breakthrough - Rainbows are Visions Size:24 x 24 inches canvasThe BREAKTHROUGH Collection: 10 years ago, in the throes of my new role as mother, this series was inspired by my teeny, tiny babes. Like a kid with a new box of crayons, I began to play. Layer after layer, each painting became a sort of prayerful meditation. There were strong parallels between the patience cultivated from endless cycles of diaper changing, laundry and feeding, as with painting circle after circle on canvas. There is beauty in

each circle lands on the canvas like a playful dance of light and color

I can’t help but let out a long exhale

I’m not sure it was supposed to
