Rain Forest - Extra Large vaseThis porcelain lamp was inspired by the beauty of the Rain Forest and the importance of the Rain Forest in our continued existence on Earth. Hastings Museum & Art Gallery chose 'Rain Forest Lamp' to be in their Open Exhibition 2022. This porcelain lamp has been inlaid with palm leaves and tropical plants. It collapsed in the kiln to make a beautiful crumpled shape. Splashes of soft blues, greens, yellow and brown W: 27. 5cm x D: 17cm x H: 50. 5cm

I have then glazed it in with a combination of sepia

There is a pleasing contrast between the dark blues and the accents of gold

It would look great in any living area -  on a side table or mantle piece creating a warm relaxing glow when lit

This porcelain lamp has been inlaid with fuchsia flowers that I have collected from our garden here in St Leonards on sea

The impression of the building in the porcelain becomes more striking when the lamp is illuminated

Green grasses pattern on White Bone China ground

This pendant shade would look great in a sitting room or bedroom
