Half inch Baltic Birch mounted inside a mortised hardwood Popular & Maple frame so there are no exposed plywood edges.

Painted with a urethane based enamel and finished with a poured epoxy resin top coat

without mechanical fasteners ( other then the hinges )

Finished smooth to bring out the grain and built to be used for years

I should note that there is a flaw in each of these - my shop lacks permanent heat so at night when it got down to sub zero
