19th Century Limoges Celestial Gilt Enamel Panel Books - BiographyA stunning 19th century Limoges enamel panel with gilt detailing depicting a celestial scene. Possibly depicting a day in creation, the work depicts a God like figure sat upon a large cloud surrounded by gilt stars and rays of light, pointing into the universe with a putto to each side. The work is housed in a later gilt frame. The enamel panel is in an excellent condition throughout. The later gilt frame has some knocks and losses but still displays

thus volume begins at 'Preface'

The stopper has a small chip to the bung (please see photographs) but otherwise also remains in a very good condition

There is a small split to the wood at the front of the cabinet

The cut gilt brass remains in an excellent condition throughout

Both pepperettes show some tarnish to the silver and some general signs of wear commensurate with age but are in a good condition overall

There is a small amount of wear to the front right corner (please see photographs)

There are some minor light dinks to the base in places (please see photographs) but generally the lamp is in an exceptionally clean and tidy condition

A rare Langham Glass Cockerel of large proportions

Overall the teapot remains in a very good condition

Ramón del Valle-Inclán's character is a burlesque imitation of Don Juan
